I'm an artist living and working in Hoxton, London.

I am also co-founder of Mercer Chance, a gallery space at 253 Hoxton St.

I work in an intuitive and experimental way with charcoal, chalk, graphite and oil to produce paintings, drawings and monoprints, both from observation and imagination.

My interest in climate science and environmentalism fuels my desire to observe nature in its many interconnected forms and patterned interplay of forces, looking at clouds, water surfaces, mist and dirt on windows.

Exploring the ground between between modern science and ancient mysticism, intuition and intellect, freedom and control, holism and reductionism; my imaginative work expresses philosophical thoughts and ecological concerns through images that emerge from the subconscious. They are felt into being using sensitivity of touch and by embracing uncertainty.
